The Commitments Extend To April 2015

The Commitments really hazve got the luck of the Irish — Roddy Doyle’s hit new musical has committed itself to another year of raucous performances at the Palace Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue.
The show, which opened at the London venue last October, has extended its run until 19th April 2015. Speaking of the extension, producer Phil McIntyre said: “The show has really found its feet in the Palace Theatre and the response from audiences has been quite incredible.”
Based on Roddy Doyle’s award-winning novel, The Commitments is the story of a group of Irish amateur musicians who form a soul band. The smash show, which is directed by Jamie Lloyd (Urinetown), is packed with classic soul tunes including Mustang Sally, I Heard It Through The Grapevine and (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.
