Superstars 2012: Interview with Robbie Grabarz

Sixteen of Britain's London 2012 Olympic heroes compete to be crowned the two best all-round Superstars.

What appealed to you about taking part in Superstars?
I like the idea of taking part in a number of different sports!

Were you already familiar with the show from previous series?
Who could forget Brian Jacks and the gym tests?

Which event are you most looking forward to?
All of them but not the long distance ones!

Are there any of the events that you are apprehensive about taking part in?
I’ll give anything a go.

What training have you undertaken to prepare for it?
I’ve just been focussing my mind to psyche out the other competitors – ha ha!

Do you have any superstitions or rituals that you’ll want to do before each of the events?
I think everyone know that I smooth down my imaginary hair before I high jump so I will probably see if that works for me on Superstars!

Superstars will be shown over Christmas. What are your own Christmas TV favourites? And what are your plans for this Christmas?
You can’t go wrong with repeats of Only Fools and Horses.
